Changing voice of tuples and ties
If I have for example 12 measures and they're in voice 1, but I want them to be in voice 2 so that I can write above them in voice 1, or whatever else, I can select all the measures and press the 2nd voice button and it will take care of it.
That is to say: usually. If there are a bunch of triplets in those 12 measures, the triplets won't change with the voice change. Is this expected to be fixed? Also, I think I already saw a few posts on this one, but if there are complex ties, they don't change voice either: for example a quarter tied to a 16th note will stay in voice one after switching to voice 2 for the selection. This definitely stifles workflow. Is that also expected to be fixed?
Obviously under the circumstances the best thing to do is get your voicing straight before inputting notes, but sometimes that's not feasible :-x

*Beep* I just figured out that you can press Edit -> Voices -> Exchange x for x and it works with tuples and ties!
So my next question is why not have this be the same thing as pressing one of the 1-4 voice buttons when a phrase or bulk is selected?

The exchange command is fundamentally different from what the vocie buttons do. The voice buttons move selected notes into the desired voice, but this can work *only* if the target voice is actually empty for those beats. So there are all sorts of limitations. The exchange command does as it says, meaning neither voice needs to be empty. But in order that to be feasible, it can only work on full measures, whereas the voice buttons can work on individual notes. So, different tools for different jobs.

Thanks for the clarity.
P.S. It's nice to be able to program a shortcut for the exchange of voices since it requires multiple clicks from the menu.
