How do I make these notes in MuseScore? And what are they called? Thanks for any help! I appreciate it

Looks like a nested tuplet, your earlier examples weren't.

Delete and start again. One example is 2 triplets next to one another, the other is an 8th note followed by a triplet

This is what I was able to come up with... is this the same as the original, just put differently? Or is it not because it's not two connected triplets ....

Well I guess a 6let is the same as 2 subsequent triplets

It will behave similar.
But you can just write the two triplets then select the first note of the first triplet and change its beam properties to 'middle'.
