Mixed staff types
The attached file shows the music for a psalm, which includes a response, sung by all, and the verses, sung by the cantor.
i can simplify the staff setup by removing the bass staff from the response. However, is there any way to preserve the full score of the response, but have a simply single-staff score for the verses?
Thanks.
Peter

"Hide empty Staves" is I believe what you're looking for, isn't it?

Sounds great. Where do i find it? I'm running 1.1 on OS X. I have already turned off the visibility of staff 2 on the verse measures, but that leaves the end vertical lines intact and takes up just as much room vertically. It's still preferable to having the empty staves, though.

Menu: Style-> Edit General Style... -> Score -> Hide Empty Staves
Doesn't work if using a 2 staff instrument like piano, but does if you use one 'instrument' (with 2 voices) for Soprano/Alto and another one for Tenor/Bass. Leave Tenor/Bass empty for the verse, and make sure to use a line break at the end of the response
Try the attached...
