Thank you. Just select to edit the pedal marking and press Shift+>
This shifts how long the pedal sustains every 1 beat

The easiest way to put in a pedal line that doesn't go from the selected note to the end of the measure is to click the start note, shift click the end note and double click the pedal line. Using shift+an arrow moves the endpoint to the next note/rest, you must have quarter notes in your measure.
