How to get drum sounds back
I accidentally saved a score in the trunk, so I exported it as MusicXML and opened in 1.1.
Unfortunately, the drums have a piano sound to them, despite being changed to 'drumset' (possibly useless function?) and being listed as 'Standard+Orch'.
Can anyone help?

Does a drumset have to be defined, perhaps?
Should MusicXML store such information?
It would help if you attached the files concerned.
Then we wouldn't be relying on guesswork.
1. Open attached score (in trunk).
2. 'Export'.
3. 'MusicXML'.
4. 'OK'.
5. Open MusicXML (in 1.1 or trunk).
Result: There's a piano sound.
Using MuseScore 1.1 and 2.0 Nightly Build (5381) - Mac 10.6.8.

You have run into one of the severe limitations of MuseScore's playback, in as much as you cannot assign a MIDI channel to a stave directly.
I was able to get one of the staves set as a percussion instrument by going into stave properties and checking the "Use Drumset" radio icon then changing the instrument in the MIxer window
The other stave refuses to do this, however, presumably because there is already a stave assigned to channel 10, and GM doesn't allow for more than one drumkit channel.
I would try creating new instruments and pasting the parts in.
