Jazz Voicings chords exported in .xml when re-imported change chords?
Hello All,
I experienced this bug. I prepare an exercise for voicings in the II-V-I for minor chords.
The progression is D halfdiminished - G b9 - Cmin 7+.
When I saved it as mscz and reopened it's ok.
When I saved it as xml and reopened it's nok and the chords became:
D halfdiminished 9 - G b9 - C min 7 #5
Is there anybody experienced and solved this issue?
Thank you for you support. I attached the file in copy.
Best Music
Anton

Ciao Antonello, for "+" and "#" from the profane: it will not be a matter of synonym?
See: https://musescore.org/en/node/60381 if useful
These are indeed alternate names for the same chord - the symbol "+" in a chord symbol means the same as "#5". MuseScore does try to retain as much of the spelling information as it can when exporting or importing MusicXML, but it focuses more on getting the right *meaning*, and sometimes the spelling may change.
FWIW, though, the chord symbol you used does not actually fit the chord you wrote. Which is to say, there is no #5 - there is a 6 and a 9. Actually, some the other chord symbols are incorrect as well. The second is not Gb9 - which would be a Gb dominant ninth chord. It is instead G13 - perhaps with an implied b9. But you cannot put the "b9" right after the "G" or MuseScore as well as human musicians will parse it as Gb 9, not G b9.
