1.2: lost ability to nudge text by less than 1sp?
Used to be the left/right arrow keys nudged 0.1sp. Now they nudge by 1sp, with Ctrl-arrow to nudge by 0.1sp. I can accept that, but Ctrl-arrow doesn't work with text. Is that ability gone? I really liked this as a way to fine-tune positioning while keeping everything on the same horizontal rule. If there is no way to offer both 1sp and 0.1sp for text, could the default for text nudge be set back to 0.1sp?

Am I missing something here?
I can't get text to nudge at all.

You have to be in Edit mode, which is to say, the mode where you'd actually edit the text. Cursor to the beginning or end of the text, then just keep cursoring. This hasn't changed since 1.1; only the amount of the nudge has changed.
Actually using the arrow keys never used spatium unit before it was changed in the trunk. It used pixels, and apparently "pixel size" changed in MuseScore 1.2.
For any element, you can double click it and use arrow (for the biggest movement), Ctrl + arrow (for 10x less) and Alt + Arrow (for 10x less again). For text, Ctrl + arrow never worked but Alt and just arrow do.
We could change the behavior in 1.2 to use spaces. So what about
Arrow : 1sp
Ctrl + arrow : 0.1sp
Alt + arrow : 0.01sp
Of course, the bug for text and Ctrl should be fixed as well. Deal?

For Chord symbols too, please

Deal!
BTW, in 1.2 it might be called a "pixel", but it's nothing like what I think of as a pixel - it's huge. On further examination, it does seem that it is not 1sp; it just happens to be about that at the scaling I was using. Whatever the unit is, Ctrl-Arrow does indeed move by 1/10 of that, and Alt-Arrow (which I didn't know about, but is very cool!) moves by 1/100. Maybe it's ctrl-arrow that is actually the "pixel"?
So yes, if you could change the basic unit for arrow from whatever it currently is to 1sp, that would be great, as would getting ctrl-arrow to work with text (including chords!).

Doesn't work on lyrics.

That's on purpose. Left and right in lyrics entry go to the next lyric.

But that what we have Space and Shift Space for?

I'm trying to think whether there is some *reason* why things should be different with lyrics, and am not coming up with anything. But I can't remember how the arrow keys worked with lyrics in 1.1. I know that when I am moving individual syllables to avoid collisions, I often try to do so horizontally as opposed to vertically where possible, in order to preserve vertical alignment. I just can't recall if I've done this via nudge or via drag, since I don't work with vocal music as much as I do instrumental.
Whether it was present in 1.1 or not, though, horizontal nudge would certainly be welcome. If for some reason arrows by themselves must continue to to navigate rather than nudge, could ctrl-arrow at least still be made to nudge?

Quite often it is necessary to adjust the position of lyrics, and whilst you can drag them with the mouse, this is not always an accurate enough solution.
The abiltiy to adjust the position of lyrics accurately with keys would be most welcomed here :)

Left and right at end of lyrics will move them horizontally now as of r5442
Undo is not implemented. If you want to put the text at his original position, go out of edit mode, select the text and Ctrl + R.

Great! And I'm definitely in the habit of using Ctrl-R, so no big deal on the undo.

And now we are hitting some problems with this implementation with IME. See : http://musescore.org/en/node/16011
BTW, I did run into a couple of situations (using the original prelease) where a text nudge seemed to not be undoable - after a nudge, Undo left the text where it was but undid the *previous* operation. I saw this several times, including once when trying to make it happen in order to submit a issue. But I can't give a specific series of steps that *always* reproduces it.
