reading tef files
I've just purchased some tef TAB files of BuleGrass items, and have installed the free tef viewer. They look fine and play fine.
But I want everything I do/work on to be in MuseScore.
The exports from tef Viewer seem to only do 16 measures whether its xml or ABC, etc.
Anybody encountered this before and have any suggestions as to what to do?

You got the demo version of Tabledit. If you want the export to work beyond 16 measures you will have to pay for it... or find a friend who has the full version and wants to convert the TEF file to MusicXML.
Also it seems TuxGuitar has some code for TEF import (and MusicXML or GP export), but not sure if it's already exposed in the stable version. https://sourceforge.net/p/tuxguitar/code/HEAD/tree/trunk/TuxGuitar-tef/…

Thanks for the info. I found out the hard way.
Am kind of annoyed that the song vendor won't supply me the xml, he clearly can produce it. Ive got another song vendor that supplies the xml anytime I ask.
If you are on Windows and your tefs were created with an older version of TablEdit (<=Version 2.64) you can also try your luck with Tabazar. An old Notation Editor that is now free and can export to musicxml.
