Pretty nasty tremolo notation bug
Hello, first of all i'd like to congratulate who coded this great piece of software and then i'd like to give my contribution to the community.
As i said in the topic subject i think i found a pretty nasty bug about 2-notes tremolo notation that screw measures up (in terms of notation even though the playback would still sound right as far as i can hear).
As you probably know if you drag from the tremolo palette the 2-notes tremolo symbol on a note it doubles the value of the note you click on.....but the problem is if i keep dragging 2-notes tremolo on the same note musescore keeps doubling the value screwing up all the measure value especially when you delete the tremolo sign from the score.
Let's give an example to make it clearer: let's take a 4/4 bar and insert two half notes and then drag the 2 notes tremolo sign to the first note; musescore doubles the value of both notes thus we end up with two wholes and that's right but if you keep to drag another 2 notes tremolo symbol (even repeat the same) the values will be doubled again (thus obtaining a double whole note).....now delete the tremolo sign and you will likely remain with two whole notes in a 4/4 bar and that's a real bad thing as you can probably imagine.
I dont know if someone else noticed this odd behaviour and so i decided to open a topic in the bug section of the forum.
I think this is an issue that should be dealt with as soon as possible.
As i opened this thread id like to point out just a few issues that in my opinion should be addressed (relating to measured tremolo notation):
Firstly, i dont think the notation i included in the attachment is currently possible to achieve (correct me if i am wrong please)on musescore and that's a little flaw that should be addressed also.
Second the tremolo graphic symbol should follow the tremolo direction, that is if the tremolo is ascendent should point upward and if it is descendent should point downward.
And lastly a little issue about the midi import function: when the software asks what is the smallest note value the file contains i think it lacks tuplet values especially triplets......so even if the notation is not thoroughly ( i know that midi is not a notation based format) accurate it would be simpler to correct or rewrite the score.
Thanks.......

1/ MIDI import doesn't deal with tuplet at all. There is a feature request #4693: Tuplet rhythms in MIDI import.
2/Tremolo direction should indeed be changeable. There is also a feature request #5473: Ability to change the direction of a tremolo between 2 notes.
3/The notation in your example is possible. Change the measure duration to 2/16 (right click on the measure -> Measure properties). Enter 4 32nd notes. Ctrl click each notehead. Right click one of the notehead -> note properties -> notehead type -> half. See attached file. Of course, playback will not work.

In MuseScore nightlies (the development version for the next MuseScore 2.0), if you drag a tremolo again it will replace the existing one. Deleting a tremolo is working as expected.
There are a couple of known issues about tremolos in MuseScore 1.2
#8899: Delete tremolo notes result in bad rest
#8872: Copy paste tremolo corrupt timing
#13824: Tremolo causing corruption
