Can I get this without faking?
I'm transcribing Ligeti's Six Bagatelles for wind quintet. Is this double accent supported by musescore? or do I have to fake it?

The picture is too small. You really need to include the notes for some context. I have a sneaking suspicion that those are over a chord of some sort. It would make a big difference.

Yes.
And no, MuseScore does not support that, so yes, you'd need to fake it, maybe using staff text or by another note in another voice, invisuble and silent

As other workaround, search in Special Characters (Ctrl + T + F2), first page:
You see this symbol:
Result after editing, ie increase the size (rather good/acceptable?):

The picture is very sufficient.
You can make a custom pallet and add this symbol to make it easier to add repeatedly as apparently is needed. https://musescore.org/en/handbook/palette
The first time you use it, make it with a staff text, drag it to the palette, then after that you can select multiple notes or whatever you want to add it as often as you like just like any other palette item.

Yes, of course, the captur tool is always useful in these cases.
There is a while, I have builded a palette Penderecki with this way!
