How do I change the size of the tremolo through stem?
So trying to create a score for Timpani and this is what I keep getting when I try to add a tremolo. Can anyone help me solve this issue? Is there a setting in the layouts that will allow me to adjust the size of the tremolo?

The image looks as if you were using MuseScore 1.x? If so, you should seriously consider upgrading to 2.0.3.
Even in 1.3, though, this shouldn't have happened. So step one, update. If you continue to see problems, please attach the actual score and not just a picture of it so we can understand what might be going on.

I am using 2.0.3. The score itself is under license. I am using the small staves option, could that be affecting it?

Just delete all but the affected measures and post that.

For the sake of autonomy, you could un-check the small-staff option to see its effect on the tremolo-size and go from there.
