High notes sound off-tune with solo violin and solo viola

When listening to the playback of a score, the solo violin and viola sound pretty good, but once you go higher than the the G (784 hz) on the E-string (or the same note on the viola), the notes start to sound off-tune (a bit too low). It's a pretty sudden change, starting with A (880hz).
The violin and viola orchestra sections do not have this issue.

I think it would make a small but significant change if this gets fixed.

It depends upon the particular soundfont and also, I suspect, sounds worse for short notes. Personally I don;t find it too bad using FluidR3Mono_GM. Rather like particular letters in a document looking bad to you, it's the font and not the program.
