MS showing dirty when not being worked on.
I have MS up with a score with parts.
I have put it in the background while I work on other things.
At a fairly short interval the windows task bar is triggered into view and MS is showing as dirty when nothing has been done.
My suspicion is that it is being triggered by the auto-save?

I think so. When I turn off auto save on huge scores this doesn't happen to me.

Thanks for the idea. This is not particularly huge, 5 inst. include pn. 80? bars.
I may try turning the autosave off.
I have found a workaround which means acknowledging the program by following the "hint" (more like a demand!) and no ignoring the fact that it is marked. Then it doesn't get triggered again.
Best regards,
Auto-save indeed has this bad habit, but I seem to recall it only does so if you work in continuous view. I believe MuseScore switches to Page view to be able to save currently, thus making the score 'dirty'.

Well done.
Yes indeed.
Thank you.
"dirty" -- that's a new one on me.

'modified' might be the better term for this

programmerspeak got the better of me. Being 'dirty' as a file means you have unsaved (or un-discarded) modifications.

I probably learned that name on this site. :)
