Cannot read file?
I tried to open a file I had written just a few minutes ago and it came up with a load error saying XML read error at the line 1792 column 20:
Is there any way this could be fixed so I can get into the file? Thanks, I've attached the file.

I removed the . and the , and also changed the name of the backup file but it still will not open

Never mind, see below
It will not allow me to open the backup file as another load error appears which says it is an unknown type. Also, seeing as I can't get into either file I am not able to make changes to sort the errors.

You'd need to rename it in a way that loses the comma at the end.

That file is broken beyond repair, sorry. It still has a valid zip header, but after that only zeroes

So next step is to find a backup or autosave file - see https://musescore.org/en/node/52116

You had added an "&" to a volta's text "2." in measure 4, a bug in the program as it didn't store it as "&" in the file

Ah I see. I shall avoid doing that in the future.

You apparently did it via line properties, for continue line.
Take this instead, it also fixed the volta text, the repeatlies and the repeat Counter
That bug is fixed BTW, in the upcoming 2.1. there it won't happen anymore (but 'broken' scores created with earlier Version would still have the issue)
