Play specific bars in repeat
Hello friends,
I expected the attached score to play C-D-G-C-E-G-C-F-G-A, but E-F is played for the first repeat. What is the proper way to express what I want to play?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Voltas are alternate endings, not alternate middle parts.
Well... it depends on how long your sections C,D,G,E,etc. are. If they each represent only one measure - see the first example.
If each represents several measures, you may need to use a D.C. al coda to avoid a long second volta line - see the second example.
See attachment.

There are some rules, for writing music.

Thank you all for suggestions. The motivation was because the "G" part was long. I wanted to have small variations in a long motif...

Hi.
Generally to "play" it, you will have to write it out.
For musicians, as long as it's clear with repeats, DCa DSs etc. you'll be fine.
