Changing Time Signatures
Yes, one can click on the measure and bring up the properties. Yes, I can change the actual time signature via the measure properties window, and yes, it works on the score.
I cannot change the nominal signature, however. I'm trying to change from 9/8 to 12/8, but the up arrow does not work. I try changing the number manually in the box, and it "seems" to take, but as soon as I click apply, the change vanishes, and the nominal does not show up on the score.
Lacking a TOC or index, I'm not sure where else to look to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Or is this a bug? I'm using version 1.2 and still learning it.
Thanks for any help.

Here is the TOC : http://musescore.org/en/handbook
And here is the Time Signature entry.

Not intuitive, but dragging and dropping on the score does seem to work. That doesn't explain why changing it in the "measure properties" windows doesn't work, but it's a nice work-around.
Thank you for the quick response.

IMHO, I would not call it a work-around, it seems to me everything is as it should be: nominal is nominal, it is dictated by the time signature, you cannot change it.
If you want to change the time signature, do that, as lasconic suggested, using the time signature palette. If you want a special measure, with a non-nominal length, than use the actual duration, which does work.
A (small?) arguable detail might be the fact that the nominal value edit boxes may be changed in the dlg box; they should be read-only; IIRC, in the next version (currently under development) they are indeed read-only.
