Windows 10 Creators Update
My laptop automatically updated to the new Windows 10 'Creators' update - a major update.
It has completely knackered my user account on windows and after creating a new user account, I see that all my software is there and functioning with exception of MuseScore. Could there have been some compatibility issue with the new Windows update and MuseScore?
Anyone else had any trouble? I've been using MuseScore on Windows 10 pain-free since its release.

I'd try to re-install MuseScore

I can't reinstall it on the corrupted user account as I can't access start menu or settings. I'll try to install it on the new user account and then transfer my documents over from the corrupted user account - headache!!

If you do not make a lot of changes in the style and the other things: The "Musescore2/Scores" folder in "Documents" is the only thing you will copy from the old account and paste into the new account. If not: complete "Musescore2" folder (in Documents from old account).
If there are workspaces and palettes that you personalize, yes this part can be a little challenging. You may have to look at places such as "..AccountName../AppData / Local / Musescore2" or similar.
I am sorry that you are having problems with your Operating System. Such bizarre situations can come to the fore after major updates. If the User Account is corrupted, it should be one of the rare things to happen. (Or the incompetence of those who prepare the big OS update).
Hi Mathew, did you manage to get MuseScore running again the windows creators update?
