Help on creating separate lines - chords
Hi All,
My first post on the forum.
I have been trying to write some jazz chord voicings for piano with a new key signature on each line.
I have attached some examples but it is not as I wanted it. I created a new line by dragging a page break icon across to the end of each line but this also moved the same key signature to the next line. I then selected hide on the right click option to hide the previous key signature and dragged in a new key signature. However you can see at the end of each line the actual key signature and it all looks a bit of a mess.
Can anyone help in terms of offering tips in terms of how to set this up and do it in a neater and quicker way. Also, I would like to show the sharps and flats on each chord. I somehow managed to do this for some of them but for others could not as it then reintroduced keys from a previous line.
I am currently also doing a search to see if I can connect my Yamaha CP300 Digital Keyboard to the software and play the chords as this would be very quick for input.
Many thanks

Looks like you've attached a backup copy (the one startingwith a . and ending with a ,), not the real score (see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/file-format), this one does not have any (manual) line breaks.
I guess what you want is to hide the courtesy key signatures at the end of the lines, any possibly also the naturals at the beginning of the lines:
Just right-click the key-sig at the beginning ot the lines and select the "hide naturals" and hide courtesy signature"

Thanks.
Is this the correct file?

Yes, seems so. As I said, I think you want 'hide courtesy signature', see attached

You can also turn off courtesy key signatures globally via style / edit general style / page.
