It would be a great thing if there was a mode in the tabulature configuration where the direction of "note" stems in the tabulature could follow the rules of common guitar notation:

If there are two independent voices in the system - wich is typical for guitar notation - stems of the bassline are all directed downwards while stems of the treble notes go upwards. If there was a mode that would make the tabulature follow these rules also, it would be perfect.

You can find an example, I wrote with Sibelius 7 Start here: http://www.fingerpicker.eu/pdf/AlwaysGreener.pdf

The tabulature would look much more confusing if stems woild go in one direction only, as you may see in the same piece written in one of the later nightly builds. ( http://www.fingerpicker.eu/image2/BigYellowRedGreenerBlues.jpg ) The notation is fine, the tab as well in it's core. But the commutated stems make it hard to determin the bassline.

Reason is, that the rhytms of the bassline and the treble are slightly shifted against each other. The bassline is in straight quarters while the treble is syncopated. In such a situation it is crucial to clearly distinguish bass from treble at a glance. This is an issue especially mith modern fingerstyle guitar music.

Unless you are planning to write the code for this feature request yourself, you need to unassign yourself from the "Assigned" field.

Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly agree with your proposal, and I'm sure it is something Miwarre, who has coded the TAB implementation so far will be getting onto eventually.

I'm just alerting you to the implications of the "Assigned" field.

Absolutely.
Works fine again (after a recent and short parenthesis, as you know)
