How to run a plugin
Rev, db47bf6
I don't seem to be able to get any plugin to run.
In Plugins, Plugin Manager I see the list of plugins, I can select them, I can click on load, I can change the path, I can create a shortcut - but nothing ever runs.
Nothing additional ever appears in the menus.
How do I get to say, run colornotes.

You need to enable the plugins in Settings first, then restart MuseScore to make them available in the Plugins menu
Or you can load them in the Plugin Editor and run them from there

Jojo. Thank you for your help.
I did get plugins to run by clicking on 'Plugins' in the menu bar, then on 'Plugin Creator'. I loaded a plugin into the creator and clicked on 'run'. It works.
I do not know what you mean by "enable the plugins in Settings first". I cannot find anything for 'settings'. Preferences in the menu bar gives me nothing on plugins. Where is "Settings"?
I have no success if I click on 'Plugin Manager' in the menu bar. I get the plugin manager window, but no matter what I try here, I can not get a plugin to run. I click on 'load' and get a check mark, I can add a shortcut, but nothing seems to run the selected plugin. I must be missing something.

Menu -> Edit -> Preferences -> Plugins, select the plugin, check the load button, apply, restart MuseScore
Opps, I just see that is has been moved elsewhere, I was looking at an older build...
Menu -> Plugins -> Plugin Manager, select the plugin, check the load button, apply, restart MuseScore

Your found a bug. The "load" flag disappeared on next start of the plugin manager.
I fixed this in the git master branch.

Yes, thanks werner. That is exactly what was happening. I check the box, but on restart it is blank again.
Going to try the fix!!

Thanks again. It works now. It was very confusing, glad I was not being silly!
