MuseScore 1.3 fails to run
I just updated to MuseScore 1.3 but the software fails to run. I eventually went back to using MuseScore 1.2.
I tried Revert to factory settings . I also tried manually deleting both MusE folders in AppData folders, but MuseScore 1.3 failed to run. I uninstalled and reinstalled, downloaded a new copy, uninstalled and installed again, but no luck.
I uninstalled MuseScore 1.3 and reinstalled MuseScore 1.2 and it works fine.
I'm running on Windows 7 64-bit. Willing to do further tests.

It may not be related, but are you using 32-bit or 64-bit Windows?

64 bit
I tested the package on Win7 64 bit and Win8 64bit and it runs.
Do you see any error message? Did you use the exe or msi package? Can you check in your program files directory that Musescore is installed, run mscore.exe from there? Anything special on your computer? Like Qt in the path?
It is also not running on my Windows 8 64 bit system.
I used the .EXE installation from the front page download link
Haven't been able to do any investigating - got too much on today.

I investigated a bit with David. And it manages to run it with
cd c:\Program Files (x86)\MuseScore\bin
set PATH=
mscore.exe
So it's definitely a conflict with something else in your path. Probably something from your nightly build.

Following Nicolas's comment I removed the C:\Qt\4.8.4\bin reference from my %PATH%
MuseScore 1.3 immediately ran successfully.
Hope that's it for other Windows users
Michael
PS It appears MinGW has also to be removed from %PATH%. As an experiment I added C:\MinGW\bin;C:\MinGW\lib back in to the path and 1.3 wouldn't run. Removing it again solved this issue.
I think the problem could be having the MinGW from MinGW-builds in the path.
In my XP Pro SP3 MuseScore1.3 crashes at startup if C:\MinGW\bin is in the PATH.
The conflicting library is "libstdc++-6.dll".

By copying the (old) libstdc++-6.dll from the old MinGW.org installation into MuseScore folder the crash is solved for me, even when the new MinGW is in the PATH.

That's not it on Windows 8
I removed all mention of MinGW from my %PATH% and 1.3 still would not run.
Even when directly clicking on the .EXE in the %PROGRAM FILES%\MuseSCore\bin directory

Hi Michael.
Can you try to unzip the file in attachment, move it inside the MuseScore/bin folder and then try to start again MS?
This is the MinGW.org version of libstdc++-6.dll.
