inserting measures for only one line
I'm working on a 9 part score and I made a mistake early on and I need to insert a measure for just a few parts, but not the entire score, is there a way to just insert a measure for one part at a time?

Copy and paste is the way to go
Insert a blank measure where you want it (select a whole measure, press [Insert]) - this will insert an empty measure throughout the score just before the measure you selected.
Enter whatever you meant to enter for the parts that need it.
For the parts where you don't want to insert a measure, click on the first note or rest of the measure after the blank measure that you just inserted. Press [Shift]+[Ctrl]+[End] to select the remainder of the part. Then press [Ctrl] -x to Cut everything. Then go to the empty measure and click on the first rest (i.e. the only rest) and press [Ctrl]-v to Paste in the cut notes and rests.
