Faulty Alignments
Dear Forum, Please see attachment pg. 20, strings Vl,. 1,2 and Violas do not line up with the Vcs and CBasses. I tried deleting the violins and vlas measures and re -entering the notes there, but it did no good.I don't recall ever seeing this before in MS. What can be done? MS does show corruptions in measures 103-4 if this has anything to do with it. (I was carefully counting 16th and 32nd notes a lot, septuplets and 32nd note triplets, etc. Thought everything was OK.I may have missed something.)

There has been a revival of discussion of this bug recently here: https://musescore.org/en/node/201746
There are known issues with tuplets causing corruptions. The weird thing about yours is that I can't eliminate it. See my version of your score. This is the result of exchanging voices one and two twice, which normally gives you a measure with no corruption, as you can see, the corruption is still there.
Looking at your original measure there is a 32nd beat missing. I re-entered measure 103 exactly as it looks in your score and got this
I had no such problems when I entered the cello and double bass in measure 104. I re-entered measure 104 after deleting your original and after I did the voice exchanges and these parts had no corruption. See my version of your score.

Hello Mike, I did look at your version of my score. It looks good and everything lines up, but as you say, the corruptions are still there.

I looked at your version of my score and it looks good too, and no corruptions. So i should go with your version. So how can I do that? Download yours and rename it mike320-Hudson version of the score? I am sure it was the tuplets that corrupted stuff. Thanks, del

I meant the version you managed to make of the score that made it OK, not the one where you tried to redo my score. i think I confused that with kuwitt's fix.

kuwitt, Yes, Yours works!I would like to use it if I may. I spent all morning on that problem on 2 measures! Thanks. del

Yes, you should use the version with the repaired measures.
By the way what I've done for example in measure 103 for violins:
I reentered the rhythm (for my own clearness;):
For the 7-tole I choosed a quarter duration, for the triplet a dotted 16th duration.
Same or similar approach I've done for the other corrupted measures.

OK Very interesting. Thanks. Del

I was wondering what you meant for other corrupted measures? There weren't any that I know of. You did not change other things in the score besides pg. 20 Ms 103-4 did you? I need to know since I AM using your version now as the score. (kuwitt-Hudson version corrutptions fixed,I named the file.) I need to be sure the score is exactly as I had it except for the 2 measures you repaired. Please inform.( I did go ahead and added the dynamics and articulations._ Thanks!

Yes, beside the meanwhile repaired measures 103 and 104 there's no other measure corrupt and I didn't change nothing else.

OK, fine. Thanks for letting me know. An orchestra in CO is going to play this score, and I have to be careful. (The world premier of this score already happened years ago, and it was done from my handwritten score/parts.) I am just entering that score into MS now, I appreciate your help on this! del
