Play back query

I'm new to MuseScore and am very pleased with what I've been able to do so far.

I'm setting music for a 4-part Male voice choir.

it would be useful (for practice purposes) to be able to play back the music with one part pre-eminent, I guess that means I have to find a voicing from a sound file that meets my requirements.

is it possible to attach different voices to different parts? If so how?

Can anyone suggest a good sound font?

I presume the different voices would carry through to any created midi file?

Comments and help would be appreciated by a new user.

Is there a target date for the release of V2, I know everyone says "When it's ready" but an idea of when that might be would be useful.
