variable text object for distinction between concert pitch On/Off
When I create a score consisting of a melody and chord symbols, I often use the conert pitch On/Off feature to be able to use the same score for transposing instruments like sax and non-transposing instruments like piano. But the printed pages don't show any hint whether it is for the transposing or non-transposing instrument. Of course I could add a text object, set it to "Saxophone", print the page, switch to concert pitch "On", set the text to "Piano", and print again. But with this approach I have to edit the score every time I want to print a copy for all musicians.
That's why I'd like to have a text object which can hold two different texts, one text visible if concert pitch is set to "On", the other text visible if concert pitch is set to "Off". With such a feature I could leave the score unchanged for both printouts (the transposing instrument's printout and the non-transposing instrument's printout). It would be very easy to see for which instrument the printed score is valid.
Or is there an existing solution for this problem?

Why not simply add both instruments to your score? Then use the part facility to extract them.

Thank you for you answer. I think this is the right way if I have several transposing instruments. But I wanted to keep the scores simple because they are simple jazz lead sheets in a "real book" style.
I played around a bit with your proposal but I experienced that I have to enter all chord symbols again for the second instrument although they are the same for both. If I enter the chord symbols just for one instrument they are of course invisible if I extract the other part with the part facility.
Moreover if have to move every symbol, e.g. "FINE" to an appropriate place for every part I extract.
It seems a bit time-consuming.

No need for entering each chord symbol again. Just select a chord symbol you've entered for the first instrument, right click->select->select all similar elements in the same staff, copy and paste.
