The ability to create a 'manual' courtesy clef that has no purpose other than visual....
Many times I have found the courtesy clef fails..... Changing from a bass to treble or treble to bass clef.
And that is something I always want in my scores.
I would really like an optional courtesy clef to be able to be placed anywhere........that does nothing other than exist visually.

This should already be possible. You can add clefs pretty much anywhere you like, including placing a treble clef somewhere that is already covered by treble clef. There process is no different than adding any other clef - select the location you want it, double click the palette item (or drag and drop).
