Split voicings - one staff
Hi! I have a piano piece that is written on two treble clefs, but I want to split the voicings (top part w/ stems up, bottom with stems down). I tried copying the bottom clef and pasting it as Voice 2, but the top part (voice 1) then just turns into rests. :(
How can I separate the top and bottom to be on only one staff? Can I copy/paste the lower part onto the top staff using a Voice 2 part, or do I have to re-enter literally everything I did in voice 1's lower part, note-per-note again, as a Voice 2??
If I post the score here, can anyone help me split the music??
Many thanks!
~ Justin

You need the notes in the bottom clef to start in voice 2, the contents of voice 1 don't matter it can be rests or notes. In the selection filter (F6) uncheck voice 1 and copy the contents of he second staff. Click the first note or rest in voice 1 where you want the music to go and then paste. This will prevent voice 1 from being replace by rests. After that remember to check voice 1 again.
