[MIDI] Each stave has an instrument name

• Sep 5, 2013 - 20:59

1. Open attached mscz (produced in 1.3) in 1.3.
2. 'Save As...'.
3. Choose 'MIDI'.
4. 'Save'.
5. Open MIDI file in 2.0.

Desired result: The synth strings staves have one instrument name.

Actual result: Each synth strings stave has an instrument name.

Each stave has an instrument name.png

Note: I also attach the produced MIDI file.

Discussion: I would have thought that each track would represent an instrument and then its staves. Does MuseScore 1.3 export each stave as a track? I would expect it to export one instrument entry as one track - 2.0 would import the track and determine if multiple staves are needed.

Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (a2b136c) - Mac 10.7.5.
