Repeats messed up in big score
Hello forum readers,
I am having trouble with repeats in the attached score. If you play back the first two parts you will notice that the A part repeats as it should. However, it jumps back to the complete beginning (the A part starts after an introduction)
Why is that, have I overlooked something? It should jump to the B section after that.

Looks to me like you have a mismatched repeat at K (end with no start). MuseScore gets confused by things like this.

Hello Marc, and thanks for the suggestion! however, after correcting it, there is no change...
Or maybe could you try it out with your musescore to see whether it works for you? in that case it would be an error in my program.
again, thanks for helping!

I also see errors in your use of segnos and codas. Like you are using a coda sign where you should have used a "To Coda", and a segno sign where you should have used a DS. You can always edit the text to use the coda and segno symbols (F2 while editing text brings up the text symbols palette), but you have to use the correct element or else playback won't work as expected.

Now its working! I can finally get some professional feedback on this.
Thank you for your quick reply, even if it was an obvious technical mistake.
You have a start repeat at I and it ends at J but then you have another end repeat just before K without a start repeat. You have a segno in measure 12 and another in measure 128.

I don't know whether your or Marc Sabatella's tip did it, but you were both right anyway!
Thanks, and have fun with music :)
I noticed that you have a repeat indicated in measure 20 back to measure 13 .. section A ..
Try making measure 20 a 1st ending and measure 21 a 2nd ending ..
The way that I got it to jump ..
I first took the repeat out at the end of measure 20 .. to see it it played staright through to 21 and it did ..
When I did this the repeat at the beginning of measure 21, also disappeared .. which makes me wonder if you
accidentally put a repeat and one forward in the same measure ? .. I also added 1st and 2nd endings
I see a coda jump sign at G .. and a coda repeat sign at K with another coda jump sign ,,
a little confusing ,, I do not see a D.C or a D.S anywhere ? ,,
Are you wanting to repeat back to the beginning and then jump to code , or repeat
back the the sign at K and jump to coda ? ..
