Tremolo doesn't appear
I finally figured out how to add drum notation, but I cannot add a tremolo to any note to indicate a 'drum roll.' I tried to add a tremolo to other instruments and it doesn't show up on any of them.
I use Fedora (Linux) and Windows, have tried to add tremolo in both, and nothing happens--no tremolo appears over the notes.
I have tried selecting the note and double-clicking the tremolo symbol in the palette, and I have tried dragging the tremolo symbol directly to the note. I have tried both steps with 'N' pressed and without.
Can someone please help me sort this out?
(I am using MuseScore 1.3 on both Fedora and Windows.)

What you describe should work. Might be something unique about your particular score. Can you add tremolo to other scores? How about, say, the demo score?

Odd, I can do it 3 ways. 1) select the note on the drum staff, open the 'tremolo' palate and double click on the desired element. The slashes appear on the selected note. 2) Select the note, open the Articulations palate and double click on the 'tr' symbol. It appears above the selected note. 3) Open the lines palate and drag the 'tr' wavy line symbol to where I want it. Probably would not use this very often though, since it does not appear you can change the length of the wavy line and it is a little picky about where it will allow it to go (although you can drag it to where you want after it is originally placed).

I reinstalled, created a new score, copied and pasted everything and the tremolos applied there. The only problem then was something similar to the disappearing slur lines after a save/reopen. Some tremolos stayed, others had to be reapplied. That is something I can deal with.
Thanks for the help.

Glad things are better, but still neither slurs nor tremolos should be disappearing. If there is a bug to be fixed, and you have a case that demonstrates it reproducibly, you should post it.

I have reported it, but it seems like it's a problem that's been fixed for the 2.0 release. So, they aren't going to release any fixes or patches or updates, as 2.0 is close to its roll out.
