I can confirm this for cc016f8 on Windows 7 Enterpeise 64bit.
Changing the style for fineriges doesn't influnence existing nor new fingerings, at least as far as positioning is concerned..
Via inspector the position can get changed though

I'm still using a version of 2.0 August 2012, which I believe is the last time this functionality worked as it should.
Is it considered a known issue?

Are you aware the the files you created with an old nightly build probably won't load at all in a newer one?
