Do changes in complete score link to parts?

If I change the notes in the complete score, are those changes automatically cascaded into the separated part files. In other words, are the scores linked for changes and if so is the link bi-directional, i.e., changes in the parts affect the complete score and vice-verso.

BTW, Musescore has turned out to be invaluable for the woodwind quintet I play in. Kudos to all the worker bees who contribute code.
