Transfer Musescore to Sibelius?
Can you transfer Musescore to Sibelius?
I and my piano music students will keep using Musescore, but sometimes i need to format scores in Sibelius as certain projects only take that format.... and was wondering can i transfer an already written score in Musescore into Sibelius?

Use XML export from Sibelius, either directly or via the Dolet plugin, then import that into MuseScore
The other way around. In MuseScore, File > Export > MusicXML. Then open the MusicXML file in sibelius.

OR File> Export> midi file Then open midi file in Sibelius
(I had troubles opening XML in Sibelius for some reason... compressed or otherwise)

Hmm, not sure what troubles you had with MusicXML - probably best to ask on a Sibelius forum, but wouldn't hurt to tell us more. Definitely worth it to try to figure that out, because MIDI is going to be extremely rudimentary in comparison. You'll lose far too much information and won't end up with anything resembling a readable score for music much more complex than "Row, Row, Row Your Boat".
OMG sounds super simple. Lets see if it really is...even for my nontechnical brain. Any other tips to warn me about...?! Many thanks

Sure. Don't expect the transition to be entirely flawless. Notes, text etc... should be all intact but you might loose fonts, layout information etc...
