Play measure only in D.S. al Coda
Good day!
I am trying to make my score so that a specific measure will ONLY play when the D.S. al coda gets played, or the second time that it plays. I've tried doing so with 1 and 2 voltas but it just does both the first time, and just #2 the second time. I attached a test score to show what I'm trying to acheive. test.mscz

I'm aware about how to use a volta... It doesn't accomplish what I am trying to do and I am looking for another option without having to write the whole piece without a coda.
What you are doing is not in the norm of music composition. Skipping a measure in the middle of a song during one of multiple repetitions is unusual. If the song is original, perhaps you could consider doing something different in that measure the first time. The most likely solution is to write a coda. Doing so will be rather simple since you can copy the section that is played both times to the coda, pasting it with the rogue measure already in place.
P.S. I tried making it with a D.S. but I could only get it to skip the second time, not the first.
