Electric guitar not sounding like a rock guitar.
I am right in the middle of an epic song, but the guitar needs to sound epic. Instead, I gut a puny little bass sound. In every score using electric guitars, It sounds epic, even when downloaded. I don't know how or why it dosen't work, but plz give support. This is just a test track to prove it. I have musescore 2, also.

Not sure it will sound Epic, but you could try to change the instrument sound in View > Mixer to "Overdrive guitar" instead of "Clean guitar"

I'm on a macbook wondering the same, but i was wondering the same. How do I set it as overdrive? Every time i try to set it, I click on the overdrive setting, and it just continues playing as clean...

God this is an old comment. I've already solved the issue, don't worry kiddos. Just use the mixer tool and ignore my cringe 2017 post.

ok, this is a very old thread. but i personally had to google how to do this recently. and personally nothing here was helpful.. so this is just a note for anyone else who's trying to figure it out lol. go to musehub, download 'muse guitars vol.1'. when it's downloaded, go to the mixer for whatever piece and click on the dropdown arrow on the sound bit (the coloured button above the equalizer). then click muse sounds --> guitars vol.1 --> any one that is labeled 'heavy'. yw :3

Because it's a very old thread, they were not doing the same thing you have to do to get this sound. That's why it doesn't usually help to respond to necro threads.
