Score Play Mixer and Pro Accounts?
I'm getting notices from new singers in our chorus that MuseScore software is not unlimited, that the Score Play Mixer doesn't appear unless they pay for a Pro account.
At first I didn't believe it, since this page continues to say that MuseScore software for Mac and Win is "Completely free, no limitations."
https://musescore.org/en
I tried searching the Forums but couldn't find anything about such a change to the Score Play Mixer.
Then I looked at the Go Pro page, which seems to confirm what the new users were telling me:
https://musescore.com/upgrade?feature=gopro
The functionality of a mixer is an important feature to singers highlighting their parts to learn choral scores.
My concern is not about the pricing, but about the confusion regarding pricing to new users downloading the "free" but unknowingly limited Mac & Win software.

MuseScore is still free, Musescore.com never was though
What you're talking about is not MuseScore software.
MuseSore software is full, complete and free. So is the support service you have received on the forum at musescore.org.
The thing you see: The PRO service offered by the site musescore.com (not .org) //where your works are published.
However, musescore.com's FREE basic service is already here for 5 works. (and if you upload the sixth, your first upload is disappeared. but not deleted).
Using this service is optional.
And some people, who want to support , also become members.
Did you notice that one of the sites is the ".org" and the other one ".com"?
And do you aware that you compare a software with a online site service?

Thanks for the replies.
As you can see, I am a Pro User, but I don't understand either answer.
If the MuseScore software continues to be fully featured, then where is the "Score Play Mixer" that the "Go Pro" page is referring to? Is it not the Mixer panel that shows up by pressing F10 in the software?

NO!
musescore.com's online "score play mixer" is here:
For you are a Pro user, you can use it.
I am not a Pro user, so I can not use it.
If I click on it, I'll see this message: "The mixer is PRO-only feature ..."

That shows you how much of a "Pro" user I am! I didn't even noticed that set of controls on the website.
However, when I log in with my Pro account, and select the Mixer from that menu, I get this:
Clicking on "Enable Synth" seems to do nothing. It becomes blank, like this:
The result is the same on Firefox and Safari browsers (Mac)
Hi Tom,
The mixer refered to by your choir members is most likely the one in the musescore.com website and is indeed a Pro membership feature. This always was the case.. This mixer is available for all scores uploaded by Pro members or when you are a Pro member yourself. This means that all scores you have uploaded have the mixer enabled for everyone since you are a Pro member.
As for the empty mixer window you encountered, could you point us to which score this is and mention as well which browser/OS you are on?
Btw questions related to the MuseScore.com site are welcome in our dedicated group at https://musescore.com/groups/improving-musescore-com

Hello Thomas,
I see that the blank Mixer window is an issue for the Improving site.
However, I looked at some other user's scores and was able to get the proper windows to appear.
The score with which I got the blank windows was this one:
https://musescore.com/user/176747/scores/1393901
I notice that this score has only one part, so that may be the cause, because scores with multiple parts don't generate this blank Mixer window.
Do you want me to repost this to the Improving site?

No need to repost. I consider this as a bug so we'll work on it.
