Saving files
Every time I save a file, 2 copies appear.. A mscz file and a compressed musescore file. Can someone explain?

The .mscz file is the compressed MuseScore file. Or do you mean a .mszc, file? That the backup file, see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/file-format

you are right..i meant mscz..i guess they are both mscz files.. one is saved with the musescore icon.. i guess this is the primary file... the other has a blank page for an icon.. the blank page is the back up then? im using windows 7

...there is no .mszc, file used in MuseScore as backup -- it's .mscz, -- the backup file is also described here:
