Scale degree
More "finger" numbers. I use MuseScore for theory/harmony/counterpoint exercises. Need to indicate scale degree above notes. Use Fingering palette but then have to use Text to add "6" and "7." Could you add these numbers?

Create a custom workspace. https://musescore.org/en/handbook-basics/palettes-and-workspaces#custom…
Put a fingering on a note.
Double click (on a newly created fingering) and change (edit) number.
Then, while holding Ctrl+shift key, move your new fingering number to Fingering palette (with mouse).
Note: This is string number. It's eye-catching. And that's why I used it.
You can also use Figured Bass notation. It's very flexible. https://musescore.org/en/handbook/figured-bass
from menu: Add->Text->Figured Bass
or shortcut : Ctrl+G
Small customization is required to use the top side.
advice: After you apply customization , save score; close and reopen it. Now you can start inputting numbers.
