Problem with repetition
Hi folks,
I have, let's say, 7 measures, A B C D E F G
I want to play a repetition of
A B C E F G
A B C E F G
A B D
(to explain: it starts with refrain and ends with refrain but modified end)
I tried with voltas but it won't work ( I get played A B C D E F G A B C E F G A B D E F G)
How would I do it correctly?
Thanks for any suggestions,
Frank
PS: Don't mind the music, it's just for testing the loop :-)

Assuming this is actually longer than one measure each, I would move D to the end, use a repeat after G and put a D.C. al Coda on G, a to coda on B and make D a coda. Don't forget to mark the repeat count as 2, which is the default.

Great, that works! Thanks a lot!
Now I will have to make two files, one to play with musescore and one to read for our choir because they know voltas with their clear numbers, but they probably won't understand those jump marks :-)
Best regards,
Frank
Or if you want to it with simple repeals only, use the attached, which too moved D to the end but uses a 1,2 volta for measure C-G. This won't look good though for longer sections
Volta is used together with end-repeat mark. 1,2 ------ :|| 3------- |
Such as the alternative endings for the second (third, fourth) repeats.
Voltas isn't used independently of the end-repeat sign. (Eg in the middle of the repeated section)
