MIDISightReader, can't get it to work

Hello everybody,
I just installed the latest musescore with the MIDISightReader 1.5b. I am following the plugin manual and I can't realize how to make the plugin work: after I load the score, I go to plugins-> MIDISightReader, and I am expecting the first notes to turn red indicating the pluign is ready, but nothing happens.
Tried plugging the keyboard before and after starting musescore, tried opening different midi files, tried creating a midi file (I can input notes via midi). I am running musescore on windows10.
Thank you and sorry if this issue as already been solved, couldn't find it.

I have recently got Windows 10, so I will give it a try.
Please note that you must start MuseScore first, then plug your midi keyboard in.

I have tried installing the plugin in /documens/MuseScore2/Plugin , changed the path inside plugin admin to Users/thisuser/Documents/MuseScore2/Plugins and the path to plugins to C:/Users/thisuser/Documents/MuseScore2/Plugins; edited the MIDISightReader.properties to:

MuseScoreOSCPort = 5282
_MIDIOut = ProdipeMIDIlilo
MIDIOut = ProdipeMIDIlilo
Timeout_s = 60
UseLocalGui = true

the .bat file contains:
java -classpath %HOMEPATH%/Documents/MuseScore2/Plugins/MIDISightReader/MIDISightReader.jar;%HOMEPATH%/Documents/MuseScore2/Plugins/MIDISightReader/javaosc.jar com.dch.sightreader.MIDISightReaderPlugin %HOMEPATH%/Documents/MuseScore2/Plugins %HOMEPATH%/AppData/Local/Temp/MIDI_Sight_Reader.mid

Started MuseScore2, plugged in the Keyboard, loaded a music sheet, went to plugins-MIDISightReader, nothing happened.

Is there anything else I could do?

Hi Musadario.

I have tried my Windows 10 Home (64-bit) running MuseScore 2.1.0 and it does not fully work.
When I run the plugin, the Java process displays a copyright message in a dialog window. When I press OK on that, the first note does not turn red. However, when I play the notes, they do turn green. When I have played all the notes, I get the final dialog message.
When I run it a second time, all the notes should turn black, but only the first one does. Again, it does not turn red.
I am using 64-bit Java version 1.8.0_144.

I will contact the MuseScore team about my issue, but your issue is different. If you are not seeing the copyright dialog, then I don't think Java is starting correctly. (See https://musescore.org/en/node/267627).
- If you start a command window and type in java -version, do you see a version of Java displayed?
- In your folder C:\Users\Documents\MuseScore2\Plugins do you see a file called MIDISightReader.qml and a directory called MIDISightReader?
- In your folder C:\Users\Documents\MuseScore2\Plugins\MIDISightReader do you see a file called MIDISightReader.log?

In Edit | Preferences, my Plugins folder is set to C:/Users/Don/Documents/MuseScore2/Plugins

Please get back to me if this still does not work for you.

Hello,
-I am using java 1.8.0_151-b12 and that's displayed in the command window
-The file and the directory are there
-I can't find a MIDISightReader.log file
-The Plugins folder is set to C:/Users/username/Documents/MuseScore2/Plugins
