Is there a way to make the xylophone sound longer?
The xylophone sound is very short, it is not like the real. I mean, there should be a tone that continues after the note. Like a cymbal, there should be a noise left after you stuck it.

Try marimba or vibraphone for more sustain.
Of course, you can always look for a different soundfont with a better xylophone sample.

Thank you very much!
Cymbals are metal, xylophones are wood. So it's perfectly normal/correct that a xylophone has a pretty short sound. The default soundfont was recorded from a real xylophone, so it does represented reality. It's possible you are thinking of a glockenspiel? Those are made of metal and do ring longer.
