Crash while entering chords
While entering chords (4 voices) of semi-quavers with my USB-keyboard, MuseScore crashed several times. The file could be reopened, I continued doing arrangement work on the file directly, but when i closed the file (after having saved it), the whole part after the mentioned chords was lost! I work with musescore 2.1 and MacOs 10.12.6. The crashes were automatically reported to Apple (as it said). I could solve the problem of the chords by entering them on two staves, but the further prospect of a crash with the loss of saved parts of a document is very intriguing!

is it a particular staff or measure that you are adding the notes to? If you input the notes with computer keyboard instead of midi keyboard, do you still experience the problem.
I'm currently unable to reproduce.

Thank you. I wasn't able to reproduce the problem either, but today I experienced other crashes with inputting chords. Fortunately the docoument was saved this time. I closed it definitely without restoring the session ("do you want to restore the session: no"). Input with the computer keyboard is not a very practical solution for me, as I can't put chords together.
Could it be the soundfont? I use a special soundfont for barrel organ (Raffin_31_v20.SF2) which I inserted into the synthesizer for this kind of arrangements. I can't enclose the soundfont, as it is too big (9 MB). Is there another means of sending this soundfont for checking?

You can certainly enter chords using the computer keyboard - just press Shift while typing to add notes to chords. See the Handbook or the tutorials for more info on note input in MuseScore. MIDI can occasionally be useful, but is never necessary. So if something is going wrong with that, it's definitely worth trying something less system-dependent.
