Mixer and multiple sound fonts
Although musescore supports multiple soundfonts it is ruther difficult to use more than one because at mixer there is a combo box with all the istalled instruments of all soundfonts which make it too difficult to select the desired instrument.
For example I have installed the following soundfonts: Musyng Kite, Compifont_NEW, Sonatina_Symphonic_Orchestra, Timbres Of Heaven GM_GS_XG_SFX V 3.2 Final, AegeanSymphonicOrchestra-v2_2 and I want to select the "Tuba" from "Sonatina_Symphonic_Orchestra". There is no easy way to do it. At mixer's combo box will be a huge list of instruments with many tubas in it but there is no easy way to tell which is the right one.
A simple solution would be to add soundfont's name to instrument name. So instead of "Tuba" it could be "Sonatina_Symphonic_Orchestra\Tuba". It could even be optional for us who use multiple soundfonts.
Thanks!

There are ideas being discussed on how to improve this to make it easier to change a sound to a different sound font. See #269939: order preset list to account for similar instruments on banks > 0
Not exactly the same but pretty close.
Thanks!

The very first response to the feature request was What if there is more than one soundfont ? This came from the the person who makes all final decisions as to what does and does not make it into MuseScore. The discussion then devolved into what to do about displaying multiple sound fonts.
