Composers notes
Is it possible in Musescore to type in composition ideas in the form of say a notepad? I am wanting to just leave myself notes and ideas about unfinished work or where I would like the composition to go and it would be really useful if this could be done rather than write on paper as I currently am!
Many thanks to the community !

Not as a standard function, Peter. Alternatively, try creating an extra instrument capable of being made invisible/visible at will ('i' + un/check visibility). With this, staff texts et al can be anchored to its rests. In addition, the staff properties can all be set to invisible. Shift+Left-Drag can be used upon the staff, allowing for a large empty space. With the proper touch, you might find it useful.

Another weird option, but viable nonetheless so long as you're not actively using them, is to use the footer/header text boxes [ Style→General→Header, Footer, Numbers ]. Enable one of them, type in text in some of the boxes, then disable.
Add as a Rehearsal Mark or other text. Just delete when you are finished.
Another possibility is a text frame, which has the advantage of automatically growing as needed to accomodate larger amounts of text than staff text. Downside is it breaks the system.

Marc,
This works really well. I have inserted a text frame at the end bar and it keeps everything above unchanged .
Many thanks
