Copy and pasting parts
When I copy and paste a flute part into a piccolo part or a bass part into a treble part or anything like that where the two instruments vary greatly in their range, it is usually too high or too low and you have to make the whole part up or down and octave, then delete the notes that are out of the register. I think it would save a lot of time if the program could recognize the average range of the instrument and paste the music accordingly. For example: if I pasted a flute part that for flute is pretty high into a piccolo part, the piccolo would be playing rather low; instead, musescore could recognize that it's a piccolo so it already moves every note up an octave.
