playing uneven eighth (swing feel)
Hi *,
sorry if this is a duplicate request but I haven't found one on this topic.
Attached a sheet which describes the problem. Line one is how it should be notated
line 2 is how it should be played.
Why:
Although the main purpose of MuseScore is to create music sheets the capabilities to playback
could be very helpful for none professional musicians to exercise phrases or parts of an arrangement:
E.g. in our - non professional - big band it would help a lot if musicians could exercise at home with
a simple playback to hear how it's supposed to be but also to hear what others are playing.
Obviously swing is notated with "normal" even eighth but it's meant to be uneven eighth.
Question:
Is it possible to play back even notated eighth as uneven eighth - didn't found an option for that.
If not would it be possible to add that feature ??
Many thanks
Sebastian

Swing playback is currently being develped, see http://musescore.org/en/developers-handbook/google-summer-code/google-s…
Try this:
1. Open your score.
2. Use F11 shortcut or go to menu item: Display / Play Panel
3. Expand drop down box (default is 'Straight') and choose 'Swing':
NOT FOUND: 1
Regards, and welcome aboard.
