A problem with trills...
So... I recently was arranging Rite of Spring for orchestra, as you do, and i ran into
a strange playback bug/issue with the trill that i found extremely annoying.
Firstly, when you play the trill, it starts WAY too fast (iv'e tried writing it manually too but i wan't at all satisfied with the result) , however, this is not the main issue.
As i listened to the trill i noticed that it was playing the 2 notes at the exact same time!!! It may just sound like it's playing at the exact same time because it is being played quite fast and if so, surely there should be a way to change the speed of it. Correct me if i'm wrong but i am almost certain that there is not a way to change the speed of trills (beside writing it out manually). Also the trill starts fine until after a couple of beats it messes up : (
I do know MuseScore's purpose is to write scores, orchestrate and various things like that, but i find an issue like this could be prevented and should be fixed promptly.
I am unaware wether this is a bug or a feature needs to be added so i'm going to put in the Feature Request Forum and the Support and Bug fixes one.

Can you share a score showing the problem, and tell what you expect instead?

I cant reply. it says it has to have been checked by an administrator. Sorry because i attempted to send my reply 3 times. oops

? an example is sufficient to clarify the problem ;-)

You should be able to attach a score to a reply. A link to some external host may not work

The file was there, I downloaded and modified it (copyright?). I deleted the previous and next measures and removed the pp dynamics.
Now the word is up to you...

Ahh... i found out the problem.
It's is where there is a pause on the trill and tied to the note of the next bar.
The first bar plays fine but in the next bar, the notes of the trill are being played at the same time.
While investigating this problem I found the following: See the attachment.
2.1 => 2.3-nightly (22ff1d8), Win7

Hmm... interesting
Oh wow... I just ran into another problem with trills...
Just see for yourself...

I see your problem... However, exporting as MIDI and then reopening produces this attachment. Quite different and what I would expect it to do if playback were correct. (MIDI ex-import causes trills and other ornaments to become exploded, so nothing funny about that)

But my problem is still a bug right???

It is indeed known that ties trills on tied notes don't work right. Simply remove the tie - it isn't relevant anyhow since the note isn't truly sustained - and playback will be right. See #77376: Trills and other ornaments play incorrectly on tied notes

Ok. Thank you very much for your help, it is much appreciated!
But... i've got two questions:
(1) Will this problem be fixed in the future?
(2) Is it a bug that trilled notes with pauses on changes the speed of the trill? If not, I would like to ask if that could be changed.
Thank you

In general, yes, once bugs are reported and confirmed and logged in the issue tracker, it's likely they will be fixed in the future, it's just a question of when. Playback is always secondary in priority to notation, but this one seems important enough that I'd have some hope it would be looked at relatively soon.
Assuming you mean "fermatas", then this seems to be a bug as well, not sure I've seen it reported before.
Feel free to report this formally to the issue tracker (Help / Report a Bug, from within MuseScore)
