Can't edit any of my scores

Using 2.0.2 f51dc11 with OS 10.12.5 and rather suddenly I can't edit any of my scores. It's like the whole program's editing abilities are locked. Rebooted computer, reinstalled (i think) musecore . First hint that something had happened is that the canvas was black (I hadn't knowingly changed it as I had never known I could. Changed it to white and the score is visible but can't be edited. I am a very limited in my skills regarding musecore but have always been able to make some wonderful scores of the hymns we use at our meetings. I bought the manual and really appreciate all the effort of the entire undertaking. Thanks for everything and I look forward to things working again
