Instrument Naming Discrepancy
I am using a set of instruments selected from the Early Music drop down [Descant Recorder, Treble Recorder, Tenor Recorder, Bass Recorder]. The first line of music identifies each instrument as above, but subsequent staves write S. Rec, A. Rec, T. Rec and B. Rec. Is there a way to make a choice to use either descant or soprano and treble or alto? It has sparked controversy among our players as to which we should use :-)

There are no standard abbreviations for every instrument, especially instruments such as Recorders. You can set the short name (abbreviation) for the different recorders in each score. However, I would agree that the abbreviations used by MuseScore should be consistent.
the short instrument names have just forgotten to get changed along with the long ones, for en_UK, done now.
But then again I'm not sure anylongrer whether that transaltion do Sopranon and Alto Recorder to Descant and Treble recorder was the RightTing in the first place?
