One thing that isn't clear, though - are there really not notes in the next measure that these are tied to? If there are, then no need for any complicated workarounds like the above - just add the notes and tie them normally. MuseScore automatically does the right thing when tying notes across a system break. It's only in the case of ties that do not continue to the next measure (eg, where repeats are involved) you need workarounds.
